What are green coffee beans?
They’re simply unroasted coffee seeds of the coffee plant.
What’s their ‘magic’?
A number of studies show that an extract from green coffee beans has fat-fighting potential. The thinking is that the chlorogenic acid in a green coffee bean has a positive effect on the metabolism. This assists the body to fight fat and leads to weight loss.
Does it work?
Multiple studies now show the positive effects of the chlorogenic acid on metabolism and weight loss benefits. The best known was published in the journal “Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity: Targets and Therapy” in 2012. The study was done on people and showed that green coffee bean extract supplements resulted in decreases in body weight, body mass index and body fat percentage.
